Saint George Petit Verdot Winemaker's Selection 2011
Saint George Petit Verdot Winemaker's Selection 2011
Tasting Notes
On the nose, spiced ripe plum, hints of violet and red rose. Cassis and blueberry on the primary aromas with touches of tree moss. The secondary aromas display hints of toasted bread, followed on the tertiary ones by a delicate oakiness, soft spices and vanilla. On the palate, juicy red and black fruits, mulberry, liquorice with medium tannins. Surprisingly fresh and supple, this medium PLUS bodied Petit Verdot is the best friend of Peking duck dish, sautéed mushrooms, hard cheeses and even dark chocolate mousse.
Food Pairing
Peking duck, sautéed mushrooms, roasted veal with honey, dark chocolate mousse.
