Character, structure and notes of menthol. These are just some of the characteristics of Graciano, a native variety of Rioja in Spain that is typically used for blending with Tempranillo in wines destined for aging. Although this is the most traditional incarnation of this grape, single-variety Graciano wines have garnered a cult following. They have demonstrated inherent characteristics that are sure to fascinate all wine lovers.

Tasting Notes

The wine has a deep garnet color, with brownish hints. Earthy notes followed by dried plum, mulberry and cassis, touch of cinnamon and cocoa, hints of paprika, chalk and menthol. The wine is full of character on the palate with a full body and well-integrated tannins. On the palate, this wine displays notes of cassis, mulberry and crushed blackberry followed by vanilla and elegant toasty notes of oak.
