The very first That Boutique-y Rye Company bottling from the Helsinki Distilling Company is here, released as part of the Rye Series. This expression is a 2 year old Finnish rye spirit, bottled up at 49% ABV. The label features the current distillery building in Helsinki (it was the first distillery in the city in over 100 years!) in one of its former guises - a car wash! There's also a movie being shot in front of the distillery's rooftop sauna, and header distillery Mikko is getting ready for his scene (he's also an amateur actor, we'll have you know!).

Batch 1 is a release of 264 bottles.

‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Enjoyably chocolatey, though with underlying peppery hints of rye grain and red chilli flake.

Palate: Still quite sherried on the palate with touches of fig and fruitcake, plus spicy clove.

Finish: Hints of mulled wine and toasted cedar.
