Chateau Lilian Ladouys 2017
Chateau Lilian Ladouys 2017
Château Lilian Ladouys is Bordeaux Cru Bourgeois wine property located in Saint-Estèphe with 40ha vineyards on gravel rich soils and well-drained slopes overlooking the Gironde.
This robust red blend is made up of 58% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc. Accompanied by loads of black currant fruit, cherries and dusty, loamy soil notes, as well as hints of tobacco leaf, spice box and cedar, that should age nicely for 10+ years.
Tasting Notes
In the 2017 vintage, Cabernets-Sauvignons are silky and delicate, and the Petit Verdot grapes add complexity. A gourmet scent of red fruits, reminiscent of pomegranate, is balanced by orange peel aromas with delicate floral notes. The wine is juicy, racy and offers a nice length to the palate. Flavors of blackcurrants and violets reveal an open and very aromatic wine. A spicy finish, reminiscent of cloves, and brings a fresh vivacity.
Food Pairing
Château Lilian Ladouys is best served with all types of classic meat dishes, including; veal, pork, beef, lamb, duck, game, roast chicken, roasted braised and grilled dishes. Also pairs well with Asian dishes, hearty fish courses like tuna, mushrooms and pasta.
