Maison Vedrenne is a family run vineyard created by the twin Vedrenne brothers who have been wine merchants since 1906 and owners of various properties on the right bank. Their activity is both based on distributing the wines from their family estates but also adapting their wines to their clients' demands. They have an array of wonderful Bordeaux wines.

The wines of Château Grand Tayac are made by the incredibly talented Oenologist/Winemaker Eric Boissenot, who is known as "Bordeaux's Secret Weapon", due to his role in consulting for all four 1st Growths and about 200 other wineries in the Médoc region. Grand Tayac is Boissenot's personal project, and is made out of his small winery in Margaux.

Tasting Notes

The wine itself is absolutely sensational, as it slowly begins to unwind it begins to release alluring aromatics of fresh black cherries, blackberries, espresso, spring florals, graphite, tobacco and a slight hint of sweet toasted oak. On the palate this classy red is medium-bodied with notable minerality at its core. It continues to display wonderful overall structure and balance, with a well-polished finish. Simply put, this is an excellent wine from one of the biggest talents in Bordeaux.
