Single malt from the Auchroisk Distillery, matured in a single cask for quarter of a century! In 1994, this whisky was placed into a refill hogshead and set aside to slumber for 25 years, then bottled at 41.5% ABV with an outturn of 241 bottles. Yet another tasty expression from Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular range.

Tasting Notes

On the nose, forest floor earthiness, with honeyed barley and ground cinnamon offering a subtly sweet balance.  On the palate, pear, apple and peach, followed by more honey and a touch of oatcake. Toasted coconut, pineapple, gingerbread and peppercorn on the finish.
